
John Ward
Founder and Trustee of Ward-Boland Associates, John Ward is recognized as a trusted voice and leader in the industry. A Baltimore native, Mr. Ward started the Ward Equipment Company in 1968 to service the HVAC needs of the Greater Maryland Area. With a five-year mechanical engineering degree from Cornell University and experience working for both Ingersoll-Rand and Baltimore Gas & Electric, Mr. Ward was able to build Ward Equipment Company into a trusted and recognizable player in the region.
Partnering with the Liebert Corporation, Greenheck Fan Company, Nortec, and other respected manufacturers, John Ward began building Ward-Boland into the organization that it is today. Together with Bill Boland and a growing team, he made Ward-Boland Associates the number one source for commercial HVAC and mission critical solutions in the Greater Maryland Area. John Ward remains CEO of both Ward-Boland and its Liebert Maryland division, offering his valuable experience and proven leadership. He continues to be an active member of ASHRAE, where he served as President of the Baltimore chapter for a number of years. He also remains engaged in many community programs, including the Owings Mills Corporate Roundtable.

J. Peter Ward
With over 20 years of industry experience, J. Peter Ward offers critical expertise and tested leadership as CEO of Ward-Boland Associates. He is responsible for sales management and the internal operations of Ward-Boland’s team of professional sales executives. An engineering graduate of the University of Vermont, Mr. Ward began his career working for one of the world’s largest mechanical contractors before moving into application-engineered sales. Prior to joining Ward-Boland, he acquired years of experience in the construction industry. Using his engineering background, Mr. Ward is passionate about sourcing the correct mission critical application for a facility’s needs.
Mr. Ward maintains relationships with many of the largest engineering firms in the nation, and has been recognized as an industry expert both locally and nationally. He continues to serve on several of our manufacturers’ national advisory group committees, as well as many personal and professional organizations within the greater Maryland area.

Anthony M. Seville
A graduate of Cornell University with an MBA from the University of Maryland, Tony Seville holds 15 years of experience in the IT industry. His extensive background includes strategic national account sales, program management, and marketing within in the IT community. In addition to directing Ward-Boland’s internal operations, Mr. Seville manages the company’s marketing efforts and oversees the company’s supporting IT infrastructure and strategic IT initiatives.
Prior to joining the Ward-Boland team, Mr. Seville spent time working in the hospitality industry, fulfilling multiple management roles with the industry’s premier service organizations. He took on an expanded role during his time with MICROS Systems, focusing on product development, national sales, and hospitality IT. Today, Mr. Seville balances his time between work, family, and local involvement with hunger-related charitable organizations.

Mark J. Kohr
Mark Kohr’s heavily HVAC-oriented career began nearly 26 years ago after attending York College of Pennsylvania and Towson University. Mr. Kohr majored in Business Administration before beginning his career with Tate Engineering in Baltimore. In 1979, he formed Kohr Associates, a manufacturer’s representative firm for vibration isolation equipment. After some success, he joined Ward-Boland Associates to continue his work as a manufacturer’s representative.
Mr. Kohr’s industry expertise, product knowledge, and extensive experience led him to become the Vice President of Ward-Boland’s HVAC sales team in 2000 and Senior Vice President of Sales in 2017. Mark Kohr continues to be an active ASHRAE member and serves on the Board of Directors for Ward-Boland Associates.

Tom Pfeffer
Tom Pfeffer joined the Ward-Boland team in 2000 after decades of experience in the electrical contracting industry. A graduate of the University of Baltimore with an MS in Finance, Mr. Pfeffer began his career at Mid-Atlantic Electrical Contracting as an Electrician Project Manager, where he worked for 14 years and became a partial owner. Following his time at Mid-Atlantic, Mr. Pfeffer worked in accounting for a few years before joining Ward-Boland Associates as a Power Sales Associate.
In 2017, Mr. Pfeffer was promoted to the role of Director of Power Sales following several years as the company’s top revenue producer and numerous Salesperson of the Year awards. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Reisterstown Optimists and enjoys spending time hunting, fishing, golfing, and performing community service.

Keith Barbalace
Keith Barbalace leads Ward-Boland’s IT Solutions Sales division, driving Channel sales with both regional and national partners. He came to Ward-Boland in 2009 after gaining nearly a decade of experience working for Emerson Network Power (now Vertiv) in DC Power and Channel solutions. Mr. Barbalace has been instrumental in growing Ward-Boland’s IT Solutions business and manages several large projects with Channel partners at local school systems, universities, research facilities, and government agencies.
Mr. Barbalace earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University in 1986 and a Master of Engineering Science Degree from Loyola University Maryland in 1991. In 2018, he was promoted to the role of Director IT Solutions Sales after nine years as a Channel Account Manager.
